Founded in 2005 in the Loire Valley, VEGEPOLYS, has 350 members stemming from the specialized plant sector and from the corresponding agricultural and farm supply sectors (ornamental horticulture, arboriculture and market farming, seeds, viticulture, medicinal plants, mushrooms, cider).

It represents a unique territorial aggregation of companies, research and training centers in the plant sector in Europe.

One of the cluster’s main missions is to favor, among its members, innovation in all its forms.  The cluster works on several technological priorities among which there is particularly innovative plant breeding, plant protection, culture systems and the contribution of plants to the well-being, health and living environment. Its other aim is to develop its members’ competitiveness.
