Dr Antonio (Jun) Acedo is a Senior Program Specialist of the Agricultural Development and Commercialization Department, Mekong Institute, Khon Kaen Thailand. He has worked at the World Vegetable Centre [WVC] at Hyderabad, India, but had provided specialist expertise as Program Manager and Technical Expert for several value chain development projects in Asia including Mekong countries, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal a number of international agencies including the Asian Development Bank, USAID, SDC, FAO, ACIAR, APEC and GIZ. He was Professor, Horticulture Department Chair and Postharvest Technology Lab Head of the Visayas State University for more than 20 years and led various education, research, and university-industry initiatives. His international works span from 1993 to the present with engagements in 22 countries of Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and USA. He has produced more than 200 research and training publications; organized numerous international scientific conferences, workshops, and trainings; and established a wide network of professional and institutional partners
